Please be aware that the original Clockworkmod that came with Revolutionary (v18.104.22.168) for the HTC Sensation had an issue where the phone would not charge if the device was powered off. This would mean either externally charging the battery with a separate charger or going back to the HTC stock recovery.
There is a new CWM version available that fixes this issue, you can get it here: http://www.multiupload.com/KYRI0PK0DL
Drop it in the root of your SD Card and reboot into HBoot. Press Volume Up key to begin the update.
Looks like we might not have to wait much longer for the new release of AlphaRevX. Custom Clockworkmod recoveries are in the process of being tested and so far from what i've been reading, it's been going well.
The new beta will also bring S-OFF to the following devices:
While a date has not been set in stone, it looks likely it will either be some time this week or next week at the latest. Either way it will definitely beat HTC's deadline of next month for the HTC Sensation to get it's unlocked bootloader. It is unlikely that even if HTC gives us an unlocked bootloader, that we will be given S-OFF. This is due to S-OFF allowing people to use simunlocking. This is still speculation and we won't know what HTC plan to do until nearer the time.
In other news, KMob has announced after obtaining an S-OFF Sensation from T-Mobile that work has begun on building Cyanogenmod 7 for the Sensation. Obviously it is still in the early stages of being build for the device but it's a good thing that the device is getting some good dev support
Keep watching for further updates on this.
